About the artist

My Mother’s Letters Boxes of letters, sent to my teenage mother in the1950s, landed on my doorstep a few years ago. Hundreds and hundreds of letters, sent from family and friends. One girl’s most treasured keepsakes, and so much evidence of a bygone means of communication. I found them so beautiful and tender… these simple paper envelopes, with their stamps, postage marks, hints of many decades, and contents.

I have yet to open and read the letters within.
